Violet Freeman

Though the clouds may hang over there will be a brighter day in that land, they call heaven God shall wipe all tears away….. 

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ms. Violet Freeman who entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. 

Celebration of Life Services will commence on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 beginning at 1:00pm at New Sawyers Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Camden, North Carolina. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.  A viewing and visitation will take place at the funeral home on Monday, June 17, 2024 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm.

Violet leaves to cherish her wonderful memories; her loving parents, Carlton A and Clara L Freeman of the home; sibling’s, Debra L Freeman of Durham, NC, Carlton A (Fredine) Freeman, Jr of Jamica, NY, Rose M Freeman of Roxboro, NC and her four legged fury nephew, Thatcher Freeman; four great-aunts; Virginia D Banks of Elizabeth City, NC, Dorothy Barclift and Cathleen Brown of Portsmouth, VA and Effie McCaffity of Baltimore, MD; three great-uncles, Carray Banks, Sr of Elizabeth City, NC, Donald Banks, Sr and Joseph M Banks of Boston, MA. Aunts - Joyce M Bogue and Arnetta (Timothy) Stokley of Chesapeake, VA, Doris Griffin of Portsmouth, VA, Julia Williams, Lovie Mercer, Ophelia (Michael) Seymore, Alease (Samuel Sr) White and Joyce Ann Chavies, all of Elizabeth City NC and Vivian McPherson of Riverhead, NY. Uncles - Eugene Bogue Jr. of Camden, NC, Charles Bogue and Muhammed Freeman of Elizabeth City, NC, George Lee (Ruth) Freeman of Riverhead, NY and John (Edna) Brown of Eustis, Fl., William (Luella) Bogue of West Hempstead, NY and Larry Bogue of Pensacola, Fl and a host of loving cousins, church family, friends and a special friend and aide, Angela Spence of South Mills, NC .
