It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Raymond Brown, Sr. who entered into eternal rest on Wednesday June 22, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Celebration of Life Services will take place on Saturday, June 25, 2022 beginning at 2:00pm at Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Frederick Godfrey delivering the Eulogy. Interment will follow at Doves Landing Cemetery in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. A viewing and visitation will take place at the funeral home on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 6:00pm-8:00pm.

The Obituary
Raymond Brown Sr. transitioned from this life to be with his heavenly Father on June 22, 2022 at the age of83. He was born on January 03, 1939 in Pasquotank County, North Carolina as an only child to his late parents James Brown and Katie Freshwater Brown.
Raymond attended the Old Union Chapel School. As a young child, Raymond began working at an early age and was employed with Smalls Farm for over 30 years. Later he followed his dreams and established Brown’s Farm. Raymond loved his family, the outdoors, farming and raising hogs.
Raymond leaves to cherish his children; James Traftonof Salisbury, MD, Wayne Brown of Elizabeth City, NC, Roselyn Moore of Elizabeth City, NC, Raymond Brown Jr. (Donna) of Elizabeth City, NC; eight grandchildren,Rashad, Rakena, Shameika, Jaquay, Jovan, Jorrell, Jamil, and Jamie; 14 great grand-children, a host of cousins, friends, and special neighbor Charles Turner.
He is preceded in death by his wife Louise D. Brown, mother Katie Brown, father James Brown, and son Byron Brown.
