It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Joan Adkins Winslow who entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the Sentara Albermarle Medical Center in Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
Celebration of Life Services will commence on Saturday, May 18, 2024 beginning at two o'clock in the afternoon at Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Elizabeth City, North Carolina with Rev. Oscar Butts, officiating and Minister Wanda Adkins delivering the words of comfort. A viewing and visitation will take place at the funeral home on Friday, May 17, 2024 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. She will be laid to rest at the Doves Landing Cemetery in Elizabeth City, North Carolina next to her loving husband, Mr. Charles Winslow.
*The family will receive friends at the home of the deceased on Wednesday, May 15th and Thursday May 16th from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. (1452 Lambs Grove Road-Elizabeth City, North Carolina)
Services of excellence, love and care are being provided by her loving nephew, Mr. Gabriel M. Adkins, Sr., and the staff of Adkins Memorial Funeral Home of Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
