It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Alridge Michael Williams of Moyock, North Carolina who answered the Master's call on Saturday, September 12, 2020.
Mr. Alridge Michael Williams Jr. was born to the late Gladys Hilda Smith and Alridge Michael Williams in Moyock, Currituck County, North Carolina on May 17, 1956, and departed this life ironically in the same place on Sept 12, 2020.
Michael lived a life that sounds like a movie, a Renaissance Huck Finn who went about life looking to help people who needed help. A jack of all trades; he was a cook, heavy machine operator, cowboy, horse tamer, horse raiser, horse better, dog racer, dog better, welder, handyman, farmer, fisherman, lumberjack, and electrician. He was good hearted person who didn’t have a malicious bone in his body. He was a military veteran in the Army National Guard and worked for the Rhode Island Department of Corrections.
Michael leaves behind his son Dwayne Williams (Carlitta Durand), his granddaughter Solace Naomi Williams, and grandsons Sire Imre Williams, Salem Michael Williams. Aunt Ruby Smith Jones, Portsmouth, VA, and a slew of cousins Carrie Davis(Larry) of Spring Valley, N.Y, Jonathan Hardy of Staten Island, N.Y, William (Billy) Jones, Portsmouth, VA., Patricia Sutton, Chesapeake, VA., Carmen Battle, and Jacqueline Slone of VA., Erline Jones of Moyock, N.C, Evelyn Henley(Jackie)of Moyock , N.C, Clinton L. Jones(Virginia) of Moyock , N.C, Shelby Darlene Hosein (Ansil) of Orlando,F.L, Kathy Babb of Providence, R. I. and many more with the names Smith, Brothers, Williams, Jones and a host of friends and relatives.
Celebration of Life Services will take place on Sunday, September 20, 2020 in the Chapel of Adkins Memorial Funeral Home at 1:00pm. Covid-19 restrictions will be in place and everyone attending the service must wear a mask. The family wishes to thank everyone in advance for their willingness to adhere to these guidelines in advance.
