It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Mrs. Melissa Rivera Saunders who entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia.

Celebration of life services will commence on Thursday, April 18, 2024 beginning at 2:00pm at Guiding Light Apostolic Church of Christ in Camden, North Carolina with Bishop Daniel Spellman delivering the words of comfort to the family. She will lie in repose from 1:00pm until time of service. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories; Her loving husband; Gregory Lamar Saunders, Her mother and father; Maria & Tirso Rivera, 2 brothers; James & Steven Rivera, Her 7 kids; Tatijana, Brian, Ayanna, Jordan Jones, Dynasty, Aussiana and Emoni Rivera, Her grandkids; Jaceion, Hezekiah, Kia’lani & Aramis, Her 2 nieces; Isibell & Jocelyn Rivera and a host of relatives and friends.
