It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Mary Williams Moore who entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 25, 2021 at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Celebration of life services will take place on Monday, November 1, 2021 at 1:00pm at Memory Gardens Cemetery located on Northside Road in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. A public viewing will be held on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at the funeral home from 5:00pm-7:00pm We ask that if you plan on attending any of the services, that you would please wear a mask.
Mary was proceeded in death by her late husband Rudolph Maxell Moore, her parents Lilly Beatrice Riddick and Branson Lee Williams Five brothers, George Lee, Thera (aka Sambo), Robert (aka Boosie), Joe and Rudolph Williams and Four sisters, Geneva Nixon, Annie Griffin, Emma Moore (aka Pluck) and Margret Griffin (aka Mickie).
Mary leaves to cherish three sons, Ricky Lee Griffin of Edenton NC, Randy Raynard Griffin and wife Velma Griffin of Smithfield NC, and Stanley Ray Griffin and wife Cassandra Griffin of Nashville, NC Five daughters, Karen Taylor married to the late Ricky Taylor of Killeen Texas, Teresa Griffin, Maria Griffin, Delean Riddick married to the late Richie Riddick, and Angele Moore all of Elizabeth City, NC her bonus daughter Sandra Major of Waterbury Connecticut, 6 step-children, 17 grandchildren 19 great grandchildren, the father of all of her children Jubby Braxton Griffin of Elizabeth City, NC, and a host of relatives and friends.
