It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ms. Laron Michelle Townsend who entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Celebration of life services will commence on Thursday, August 22, 2024 beginning at 12:00pm at Mt, Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Elizabeth City, North Carolina with Pastor Daniel Spence delivering words of comfort to the family. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. A viewing and visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at 110 Old Oak Drive in Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
Laron was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth E Townsend, Jr. She leaves behind to cherish: Her father and mother; Kenneth and Marietta Townsend, Colonia, N.J., one brother Kevin Townsend, Kendall Park, NJ, four Aunts and four Uncles: Annie White, Hillside, NJ, Hattie Godfred, Plainsfield , NJ., Theresa Williams (Tyrone), Elizabeth City, NC, Annie Gardner (William), Baltimore, MD, Richard Akers, Randallstown, MD, one nephew Kionda Townsend and Kenya, Raleigh, NC, one sister-in-law, Patricia Townsend, two nieces, Shayla and Soria, one great-niece, Kensie and great nephew Jay. A close friend Joyce Beverly and a great host of cousins and friends.
