It is with profound sadness that we announce the earthly transition of Ms. Joann Harris Mikel. Ms. Mikel entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 10, 2025 at the Elizabeth City Health and Rehabilitation Center in Elizabeth City, North Carolina surrounded by her loving family.

Her life will be celebrated on Monday, March 17, 2025 beginning at One o'clock in the afternoon at New Sawyer's Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Camden, North Carolina with Pastor D. Stefan Gregory delivering the Eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A viewing and visitation will take place on Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the funeral home.

*The family will receive friends at the home of the granddaughter, Mrs. Jennifer Freshwater at 111 Ranch Drive in Elizabeth City, North Carolina beginning on March, 12th through March 15th from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.*
