Donald Antonio Butts

Though the clouds may hang over

It is with great sadness that we announce the earthly transition of Mr. Donald Antonio Butts. Mr. Butts went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2023. 

A service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Victory Praise & Worship Center in Elizabeth City, North Carolina beginning at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at the Butts Family Cemetery in Camden, North Carolina. A viewing and visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 30, 2023 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. 
 

The family will receive Friends at 111 East Ward Street in Elizabeth City, North Carolina on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 beginning at 2:00pm. 
 

Mr. Donald Butts, affectionately known as Jr. to his family, was preceded in death by his parents, the late Donald Pernell, and Patricia Ann Butts.  He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of twenty-three years, Angela Nicole Butts, eight children, Armesha Butts, Asiona Butts, Aaliyah Butts, Rakeem Butts, Arcandiss Butts, Shaniyah Butts, Treyvon Sessoms and Jaquez Lee, three grandchildren, Miasia Walker, Jahki Walker, and Naomi White.  He leaves two sisters to cherish his memory, Tara L. Alexander (Johnnie) of Elizabeth City, NC, and Tanesia Butts, of Greenville, NC., and a host of Uncles, Aunts, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and friends.

Donald will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
