Davon Lava Greene

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Davon Lava Greene who entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 30, 2020.

Celebration of Life Services will take place on Monday, December 7, 2020 at 1:00pm at Adkins Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will take place at the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Viewing and visitation will take place on Sunday, December 6, 2020 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at the funeral home. Please remember to wear your masks and we will be following all COVID-19 procedures and requirements. The family wishes to thank everyone in advance for adhering to these guidelines. 

He leaves to cherish his memories: His parents, Reginald and Juanita Johnson; his grandparents, Cleaveland and Doris Greene; his siblings, Shaquella and Alkeen Johnson; children, Jevion, DeShawn and Jada Greene. Davon often spoke about who loved him genuinely, immensely and unconditionally. Many were named, but a few were spoken of with special emphasis. His favorite aunts were Doris Anne Green a.k.a “Little Doris” or “Heavy D”, Aunt Wanda Johnson and Aunt Evangeline Johnson a.k.a “Aunt Van.” Davon knew he was loved by many, but the aforementioned triumvirate of fine women were essential to his mental, spiritual and physical well being. He stated often, “They looked out for me. I was certain they loved me- no doubt about it!” Lastly, his favorite cousins/acknowledged siblings a.k.a “da squad”, whom he loved to a great extent are cousins Brian Jones, Toia Johnson, Sherika Jordan, Marquita Felton and David Thomas. Davon’s love is to remain in each of their hearts forever.

Adkins Memorial Funeral Home has been charged to serve the Greene/Johnson Families with excellence and care during their time of bereavement.
